What is Gold Vermeil?
VERMEIL, which is pronounced ''vehr-MAY'' is 925 Sterling Silver which has been plated with Gold.
Vermeil is a combination of Sterling Silver and Gold. A typical example of Sterling Silver coated with 18K or 24K Gold. To be considered VERMEIL. The gold must be at least 10 karat (42%) and be at least 2.5 micrometers thick.
All our Vermeil jewellery is at least 3-microns (micrometers) thick gold-plated. We do not use any base metal such as Nickel and conform to US and EU standards and regulations.
Jewellery needs a little care and attention to keep it looking its best. Always remove your jewellery in the shower or when swimming. Chlorine, especially at high temperatures, can permanently damage or discolour your gold vermeil jewellery.
Gently clean your gold vermeil jewellery with a soft polishing cloth.
As with all fine things in life, you should take care to protect your jewellery and always store in a jewellery box, taking care not to drop, or scratch.
